With the help of this feature, we allow job seekers to view the location of various companies they are interested in, to better understand the companies offering jobs near them, or next to a location they want to relocate to.
The feature is designed to enhance the overall user experience, providing a visual and intuitive method to explore job opportunities based on geographical preferences.
For this feature, we are integrating with MapBox.
The map is not a landing page element, but a full page. This feature was not designed to be used as a map embedding in a landing page but as an alternative way of searching for jobs.
Interactive map interface
The map by default is centered on a predefined region for immediate user engagement.
Users can zoom in or out to view Company locations at varying zoom levels, and they can scroll the map in all directions. Companies with overlapping locations are clustered, streamlining the visual representation and reducing clutter at lower zoom levels.
Users can search for any geographical location in the search box displayed on top of the screen and the map updates to display this new location, along with the associated companies and job opportunities.
The map allows various interactions, besides horizontal scroll, tilt, pinch, zoom, etc
On the map, the companies are represented as clickable bubbles. Clicking on a company bubble will display an overlapping view on the left side, listing all jobs offered by that company.
When users click on the individual job listing they will navigate directly to the detailed job description page of that respective job.
Customization Options
The map appearance and certain functionality aspects can be customized to align with branding and user interface requirements.
Because map customization is a very detailed and complex topic, allowing customizations of colors for all the elements displayed on the map, on all zoom levels, we support by default only the default Mapbox styles.
Our clients can always choose to create their custom styles using the Mapbox style studio.
The Job map display and search feature provides a dynamic, interactive way for users to explore job opportunities geographically. With its robust search and visualization capabilities, users can efficiently identify and engage with employment opportunities in a geographical context that suits their personal or professional needs.
