Please consider whether you want to delete or deactivate only the user account or its groups and content as well. This action cannot be undone and should be used with caution.
- Go to “Users” (Path: “Users” > “Manage Users”).
- Click on “Edit".
- Scroll down and click on "Cancel account".
- Choose the cancellation method (see below)
- Confirm the changes by clicking "Confirm".
Which cancellation method should I choose?
Choose between deactivation and deletion of the account.
Admins have two options to remove a person from the user account, deactivate or delete. Both options will revoke the user's ability to access their user profile.
While a deactivated account can be reactivated at any time, a deleted account is permanent. Please note that if a user account is deleted and then needs to be added again, a brand new user must be created.
The following options are available:
-
-
Disable the account and keep its content and groups.
-
Disable the account and unpublish its content. Does not affect groups.
-
Delete the account and make its content belong to the Anonymous user. This action cannot be undone. Reassign its groups to the super administrator.
-
Delete the account, its content, and groups.
-
Important Notes:
