⏫ Improvements
| Job descriptions now keep URLs as plain text | When job descriptions contained plain-text URLs, they were automatically turned into clickable links, anyone who clicked them was taken away from the job board to that external page. Now those URLs display as plain text without hyperlinking, while preserving intentional formatting like bold text or lists already in the job description. This keeps candidates focused on the job and on the job board, plus improves readability of the content. |
| Location fixtures | Common locations, such as major cities and regions, are now pre-loaded directly into the search field, so suggestions appear instantly without calling Google Maps/Places on every keystroke. This keeps the experience fast for candidates and employers while keeping outside service costs in check. |
| Email verification required before applying to jobs | For job boards using forced applicant registration, a verified email address already made candidate profiles visible to recruiters — that same step now also gates the ability to apply. Verified contacts reduce fake or low-quality applications and ensures that the candidates who create accounts have a valid email address. The Apply button is disabled across Internal, External, and Quick Apply workflows until verification is complete, with a banner on the job detail page prompting the required action. Once the email is verified, candidates gain access to apply across all workflow types. |
✅ Bug Fixes
| XML export now handles invalid characters in job descriptions | Certain invisible characters can end up in job descriptions when content is copied and pasted from sources like Microsoft Word or PDF files. When present, these characters caused jobs to be excluded from exports, as XML files do not allow them. The export process now automatically cleans up job descriptions before generating the file, ensuring all jobs that should be included, are included in the export. |
| All recruiter emails are now reliably sent | On certain occasions, order confirmation and job published/unpublished emails were not being sent out on some sites when a job was posted. The issue has been resolved, ensuring these emails are reliably delivered to all recipients again. |
