In many cases, the size of the background image that is shown to the user will depend on the amount of text that you are placing in this section of the landing page. We recommend here to first add the text and formatting that you want to have displayed before adding an appropriately sized image. The background image that is displayed on top of text will always fit the text in order to cover it completely (see e.g. hero section row) so if it has more text it would show more of the image, if it has less text it might show less, and also different devices will have different ratios and also affect the way the image is shown.
The platform is able to scale images if they are too small, however, keep in mind that this can negatively impact the quality of the image.
Resolution
There are a few images with minimum requirements to ensure your job board looks polished and consistent. Images can be larger than the recommended sizes, but they should keep roughly the same proportions (aspect ratio) to avoid cropping or layout issues:
Brand assets
- Job board logo: SVG file, transparent background, 400 px width, no margin. There’s no fixed height requirement.
- Favicon: SVG file, 512 × 512 px, no margin
- OG image (for social sharing): JPG file, 1080 × 1080 px, 100 px margin
Page visuals
- Landing page hero background: 1920 × 1080 px (minimum)
- Login page image: 760 × 840 px (minimum)
- Split screen image on job search page: SVG file, recommended width 800 px. There is no fixed height requirement. Avoid adding text as it may not display well on smaller screens.
- Company profile cover image: 1920 × 500 px (minimum)
- Company logos (profiles and job postings): 180 × 180 px (minimum). If the logo isn’t square, a white background will be added.
We recommend avoiding images that contain elements that are essential to see. Your job board will appear differently across devices and screen sizes, which means parts of an image may be cropped on some screens. To ensure the best results, use images where cropping won’t affect the overall look, such as nature scenes, buildings, abstract visuals, or crowds. It’s best to avoid images that prominently feature a person’s face.
Additionally, please consider using your own images rather than the standard images provided by Jobiqo. Using your own images helps reinforce your brand identity and makes your job board feel unique and authentic.
