Featured articles are blog posts that take priority over other articles in the blog search. In addition, featured articles are highlighted as 'Advertorial' with a special tag.
On each blog, administrators can select up to three blog posts to appear as featured articles.
Featured articles have a special 'Advertorials' tag and have a better ranking in job search results.
Impact on blog search results
On the blog start page (/blog), featured articles are shown above the search results in a special row called 'Featured articles'. If an article is featured, the blog search does not suggest this article again to avoid duplicate search results. After the end date of the featured article is reached, the article appears among all other search results.
If a featured article is matching the search criteria, certain categories or tags, the featured article will always be displayed in front of any other blog search results.
How can I mark an article as featured?
- Go to the backend (Path: /admin/content/blog) and edit an existing article.
- You will find a switch "Featured". Once enabled, you can optionally provide an expiration date. When the expiration date is reached, the blog post will automatically no longer be featured. Instead, the article will appear as a normal blog article within the job search.
- Note: Keep in mind that a maximum of 3 articles can be featured at the same time.
