How can I edit a taxonomy term?

  1. Go to the “Taxonomy Manager” (Path: “Content” > “Taxonomy Manager”) and select the vocabulary (e.g. Occupational fields) you wish to change.
  2. You can click on the term you want to edit.
  3. Now you can edit all available fields such as name, description, the URL alias, or synonyms (see also the article Why should I add synonyms to taxonomy terms?
    1. Please understand that these changes will be directly reflected in the frontend.
    2. If you want to change the URL alias, disable the switch "Generate automatic URL alias" and the free text field "URL alias" will be enabled. Make sure to change only the last part of the link and leave /taxonomy/ at the front (for example, from /taxonomy/public-services change to /taxonomy/public).
  4. Click the “Save” button to finalise your changes.
  5. The link to the taxonomy is now modified, and the redirect from the old to the new term is automatically added
