Purpose
The job widget is mainly used to generate reach and integrate job content on partner websites. In some cases, the feature is also used to create landing pages on the external websites for certain search criteria (e.g. jobs for interns).
This tool can be used to display either job teasers or a complete job search on an external page or in different areas of the Job Board. This feature is highly flexible and can be adapted in several ways. For example, it can display only jobs in a certain region (e.g. only jobs in Bavaria) or a search field (e.g. only jobs with the occupational field "Marketing / PR").
As soon as a user clicks on a job posting in the job widget, the user is redirected to the job board.
Integration
The job widget is simply integrated using a Javascript snippet. This snippet can be adapted to the different use cases by yourself or a developer of your team (for each use case there is a separate Javascript snippet with the corresponding adaptations). The jobs themselves are then loaded via an API. In order to be able to make the necessary adjustments, basic Javascript knowledge is necessary.
Design
Your job board design (primary and secondary colour) will be used by default, however, it is possible to adapt the visual elements of the job widget.
Furthermore, the number of jobs shown can be adjusted. The number should, of course, always be a reasonable number (e.g. 5 or 10 jobs).
Job Ranking
The logic of the job ranking is the same as in the normal job search: If no keyword is searched for, the ranking is based on publication date - if a keyword is searched for, the ranking is based on a combination of publication date and relevance. Attention: The upgrade elements Refresh + Boost will influence the behaviour.
Important: In order for the Job Widget to work properly on your partner sites, we need to know the exact URLs or domains where it will be integrated later. Please send us these in advance!
