Jobiqo offers a feature to lock the job form against simultaneous editing in the backend. This feature is activated by default and mainly for job boards with multiple site admins to avoid overwriting any changes on the job.
Locking a job form
Once this feature is activated, the lock is activated for each user who edits an existing job in the backend. This lock feature is not available for the frontend.
The first user who accesses the job form in the backend is entitled to perform any changes. This user will receive the status message: "This content is now locked by you against simultaneous editing. This content will remain locked if you navigate away from this page without saving or unlocking it".
The system locks the job form for any additional user who attempts to access the job form in the backend at the same time. These users receive the following status message:
"This content is being edited by the user [username] and is therefore locked to prevent other users changes. This lock is in place since [time]. Click here to Break lock".
Breaking the Lock
Both the user who first accessed the form and any subsequent user who attempts to access the form can unlock the form. Unlocking the form allows any backend user to change the content.
Once the lock is broken, and after one of the users updated and saved the job, the backend editor cannot save any additional changes unless the job editor is refreshed. The same applies if an employer user performed any changes in the frontend.
Otherwise, the following message appears:
"The content has either been modified by another user, or you have already submitted modifications. As a result, your changes cannot be saved"
Disable feature
If you are interested in disabling this feature, please reach out to your point of contact at Jobiqo. This change may come with additional charges.
