Job upgrades are an upselling opportunity and allow employers to increase the job’s prominence on the job board.
Once the upgrades are defined in the backend, they will be automatically shown in the “upgrades” step of the job posting wizard (Step 3) in the frontend during the job posting workflow. It is possible to offer upgrades as "self-service" products and allow employers to buy credits in a checkout workflow. Please contact your Project Manager / Customer Success Manager if you would like to activate this area.
Mix & Match
Jobiqo allows high flexibility as job boards can create and combine different upgrade types into one product (bundle). Below is an overview of all available upgrade options:
Upgrade |
Description |
Boost job |
Pushes the job to the top on the job search results page. Boosted jobs are ordered by date and will always obtain a higher ranking than the most recent jobs without this upgrade. The difference to “Refresh job” is that boosted jobs will score and, thus, rank higher. |
Refresh job |
Re-publishes the job after a set interval, pushes the job again up to the top of the job search result list, and also adds the job to the job alert newsletters. How often a job is refreshed can be easily regulated by defining an interval. The interval can be defined universally once by administrators in the backend. Applicants will always see the new (refreshed) publication date. Recruiters see both the initial as well as the refresh publication date in the job manager. |
Highlight job |
Visually highlights the job in the list of job search results with golden background and a badge (colour can be customised based on your primary / secondary colour).
|
Featured job |
Promotes jobs on the front page. The job is shown in the "Featured jobs" paragraph on the homepage. While this view shows six jobs at a time, more jobs can be highlighted as “Featured jobs”. The profiles rotate after 30 minutes and are randomly chosen. |
Export job |
Adds the job to an XML export job feed that can be used to push jobs to any third party sites i.e. external aggregators Dependency XML export feature: This upgrade requires the feature ‘XML export’. Please contact your project manager or customer success manager if you are interested in this feature. |
Multi-frontend Crossposting |
Posts the job to multiple frontends. During the job checkout process, employers can choose which sites the job should be posted on. This way the same job can be posted to multiple job boards run by the administrator. Dependency multi-frontend feature: This upgrade is only available for multi-frontend customers. Please contact your project manager or customer success manager if you are interested in this feature. |
Notification upgrade |
Receive an email notification when the upgrade is booked. Can be used to sell services/upgrades performed outside of the job board itself (e.g. Social Media Promotion or any additional service you want to upsell). |
Extend job runtime |
Extends the runtime of a job by the defined number of days (can be used in combination with an email alert to employers a couple of days before the job goes offline)
|
In addition to the title/name of the upgrade, description, price, and functionality, Jobiqo allows setting notification mails to a pre-defined email address set up by the admin if any upgrade is booked.
Moreover, the validity period of an upgrade can be easily adjusted (choose either between the same expiration date as the job, or shorter periods).
To guarantee a clean structure, an icon can be added to the upgrade section of the job wizard (frontend). Please contact your project manager or customer success manager if you are interested in adding icons.

- Includes the “refresh job” feature
- The validity period of entire job duration

- “High Visibility” Upgrade
