An organisation member is a user who is able to manage an organisation.
Organisations can have multiple members, but only one member is the owner. By default, the account created with the organisation is set as the owner. This can be changed in the organisation base information (find more in "Where can I edit the base information of a company? ").
Apart from that, there is no further difference between an owner and a regular member.
Members of an organisation can only be managed through the backend. You can assign new (additional) members, or unassign or edit existing members.
Assign new members:
- Go to the “Organisations” table in the backend (Path: “Organisations” > “Manage Organisations”).
- Search the organisation in the list and choose the operation “Members”.
- Press the button in the upper right corner to assign new members.
- Search for the username of the new employer.
- Confirm the changes by pressing “Assign”.
Unassign existing members:
- Go to the “Organisations” table in the backend (Path: “Organisations > Manage Organisations”).
- Search the organisation in the list and choose the operation “Members”.
- Select the user you wish to unassign and choose the operation “Unassign”
- Confirm the changes by clicking “Unassign”.
- As each organisation should have at least one member, please assign a new member (instructions above).
Change the membership of existing members:
- Go to the “Organisations” table in the backend (Path: “Organisations > Manage Organisations”).
- Search the organisation in the list and choose the operation “Members”.
- Select the user you wish to unassign and choose the operation “Edit membership”
- If this member is the organisation admin of this organisation, enable the checkbox.
- Confirm the changes by clicking “Save”.
Merge two organisations, moving their members and jobs:
- Go to the “Organisations” table in the backend (Path: “Organisations > Manage Organisations”).
- Search for the organisation in the list and select the "Members" operation. Unassign the user(s).
Note: If you have many users to reassign, save their usernames in a separate document for step 5. - Proceed to "Direct Jobs" and unassign any jobs if present.
Note: Save job titles in a separate document if needed for step 7. - Return to "Organisations" in the backend, select the desired organisation, and switch to the "Members" tab.
- Click "Assign member" in the top right corner, enter the username, and select the corresponding user from the dropdown menu. Assign roles if necessary.
Note: Assigned users should appear in the Members tab. - Once users are reassigned, their status will be blocked. To activate them, go to "Members," click to edit users, and change their status to active. Save changes.
- Go to "Direct Jobs" and click "Assign existing jobs" in the top right corner. Select the job type, enter the job title, and choose the matching job from the dropdown menu. Assign the job(s).
Note: Assigned jobs will appear under "Direct Jobs" for the organisation. - Verify the organisation from which you are transferring the jobs and members. If both the "Direct Jobs" and "Members" tabs are empty, proceed to delete this organisation (Path: Organisations > Choose organisation > Edit > scroll down the page > select "Delete" > confirm the deletion of the organisation).
