When working with imported jobs, it's important to understand that all fields, including job title, job descriptions, and taxonomies, are automatically updated during each reimport/update. If you decide to manually edit an imported job, it is important to make sure that your changes are not overwritten during the next import.
1) Edits on the job level
Before editing an imported job, it's crucial to be aware that your changes could be overwritten. If you want to edit job details like the title, description, or other fields for a specific imported job, make sure to enable the "disable job updates" checkbox for that particular job.
There are two different options available for using the "disable job updates" checkbox:
a) Job level: Enabling the "Disable job updates" checkbox means that the imported job will not be updated, even if the source in the XML feed changes. Keep in mind that new jobs will still be created if the XML feed includes new entities. If jobs are removed from the feed, the corresponding existing jobs will be unpublished.

b) Importer level: Alternatively, you can also activate the "Disable job updates" checkbox for a specific importer. However, we recommend against enabling this checkbox for the entire importer if you anticipate adding new synonyms or taxonomy values later and want to ensure that your jobs get updated.

If you want to edit an imported job:
1. Go to the importer overview (Path: "Jobs" > "Feeds") and select the specific importer.
2. Open the importer and go to the "Items" tab
3. Select the job you would like to update
4. Update the job and make sure to save your changes.
2) Taxoxnomy updates
If you import jobs from an external system, you might get into a situation where the terms from the XML feed do not match the terms you defined and you need to add synonyms and/or new terms.
If the taxonomy terms in the feed differ from the site's taxonomy, you can simply add the feed's wording to the field “Synonyms” of the taxonomy term.
Note: if you add the same synonym to two or more taxonomy terms, then a job will be auto-tagged with all terms during import.

Before updating the taxonomy mapping for an importer, consider the following:
- Verify if the terms match your defined terms.
- Add as many synonyms as possible before setting up the importer.
- Once synonyms are added, proceed with the importer set-up.
- If you need to adapt taxonomies for an existing importer, ensure that the "Disable job updates" checkbox is deactivated.
If the checkbox is enabled, please reach out to your Jobiqo point of contact for assistance. - Please follow the steps described in this article, in order to auto-tag the taxonomy values.
