You can automatically assign existing products, such as bundles or upgrades, to jobs during an XML import.
Use the Products settings in the importer to choose whether the same products should be added to all jobs or whether each job’s products should be read from the XML feed.
Products are added during the import when the job’s state is “Published”.
Assign the same products to all jobs
Use this option when all jobs from a feed should receive the same products.
- Go to Jobs > Job importers or /admin/content/feed and open the relevant importer.
- Select the Edit tab.
- In the Products settings, choose “Same product for all jobs”.
- Select the product you want to assign.
- To assign more products, click “Add another item” and select the next product.
- Save your changes.
The selected products will be assigned to published jobs during the import.
You can select one or more products (e.g. bundles, upgrades) in the XML job import that will be assigned to jobs during an import.
Assign products individually using the XML feed
Use this option when different jobs should receive different products, as specified in the feed.
- Open the importer’s Edit tab.
- In the Products settings, choose “Product defined per job in the XML”.
- In “Product XPath”, enter the path to the product information within each job’s XML data.
- Save your changes.
The XPath tells the importer where to find the product information. Enter the path to that information, not the product name itself. The product names in the XML feed must match the product names in your backend.
Apply products to jobs that have already been imported
If you change the product settings for an existing importer, mark the jobs for reimport so the settings can be applied. Follow the steps in “How can I update an imported job?” to mark the jobs for reimport and run the import again.
Reimporting can also replace manually edited job details with data from the feed. Check whether job updates have been disabled before proceeding.
